Activites
Our diversional therapist and activities coordinator facilitate fun activities throughout the day; singalongs, Tai Chi, quizzes, movie nights, library visits, bowls and art projects are just the start.
Activities aren't confined to the rest home grounds. Several times a week we get into our bus and head out on an adventure with any residents that are keen to get out and about. We often do fish and chips at Ohiwa Harbour or Matata, visits to the RSA or sometimes take a tiki tour to see what is going on around town, usually with an ice cream on the way home.
We've also recently introduced 'couch travel', allowing residents to escape to Italy, Germany or more exotic locations from the comfort of the communal lounge. Residents can experience the sights, smells and tastes of countries around the world without the travel.
There is never a dull moment at Sheaff's with not only our residents, but their families and friends often getting involved in activities and having a good laugh together.
