About Us
We are Dr. Jodie Ask and Melissa Davies, the owners and directors of Sheaff's Rest Home.
We have been colleagues (and friends) since 2009, Melissa is a Registered Nurse and Jodie is a practicing GP. Through working together we discovered a shared passion for using our medical expertise to help others and give back to our community.
In 2019 we were presented with the opportunity to join forces and take over Sheaff's Rest Home. It was important to us that Sheaff's remained a locally owned and operated rest home, and that we provide both the medical care residents may need, as well as a warm homely environment to live in.

Together with our team, we look to make a difference in the physical health and quality of life of our residents - treating them like family. Our caregivers are selected and trained to ensure we provide competent and timely care, and that our residents' needs are always met. Melissa's daughter and Jodie's son are involved in the home, as well as both Jodie and Melissa's husbands, all playing a role in making Sheaff's the homely residence that it is.

Jodie holds a Medical Degree from St. George's, University of London and has worked as a GP for 20 years. Jodie's medical background enables her to provide the best care possible for Sheaff's residents. Jodie works as the GP on call for the rest home and is constantly monitoring the health of our residents.

Jodie loves getting involved in activities with the residents - from singalongs to painting classes, if Jodie has a free minute in between her responsibilities, she jumps in and gets involved.
